History

The ancient Shiva temple was established in the year 1894. It is believed that sages and saints chose this place for meditation and installed a Shivling for worship. At that time, the area was mostly surrounded by dense forests, and one had to travel a long distance to reach a Shiva temple.

As the population around the temple gradually increased, the temple was expanded with the support of devotees. The main entrance of the temple is adorned with tiles specially imported from China. In addition to Shivratri and the holy month of Sawan, the temple sees a large gathering of devotees during every major festival, with people coming from far and wide to seek blessings.

Ambala Shiva Temple Story

Near the Rambagh Ground in Ambala, there is a 500-year-old Shiva temple where Baba Kishanpuri Ji Maharaj took samadhi (spiritual liberation). According to the temple priest, Suresh Kumar Shastri, reciting the Shiva Chalisa fulfills one’s wishes.

In the Ambala district of Haryana, there is an ancient Shiva temple with a rich and sacred history. Located near Rambagh Ground in Ambala city, this temple is believed to be the place where Baba Kishanpuri Ji Maharaj took samadhi (a yogic state of spiritual liberation) to save the life of a devoted follower.

Around 500 years ago, Baba Kishanpuri Ji Maharaj used to meditate at this very spot, and many devotees would visit him daily to seek his blessings. One day, a regular devotee did not come. When Baba asked the sangat (gathering of followers) about him, they informed him that the devotee’s son had passed away.

Upon hearing this, Baba summoned the boy and sprinkled consecrated water (abhimantrit jal) on him. Miraculously, the boy came back to life. That very night, Baba received a divine message (akashvani) instructing him to take samadhi. He built walls around himself and entered a deep spiritual state, never to return in physical form. Since then, a sacred Shivling has been established at that spot.

Devotees come here to bow their heads and recite the Shiva Chalisa, believing that their wishes will be fulfilled. Many believe that miracles still happen at this holy site.
